Can I take a loan against the Tax Deferral?
No, Loans are not allowed with this fund.
How do I apply for my balance?
You can apply for the Tax Deferral portion of your benefit once you have met the requirements as stated in the Summary Plan Description for the Plan. If you are not of retirement age, you must have 6 months with no contributions reported.
What qualifies as a Hardship?
Hardship applications can be submitted for the following:
  • assistance with medical expenses for you and your eligible dependents;
  • funeral expenses for your immediate family – spouse, dependents, parents;
  • secondary education expenses for you and your eligible dependents for the current semester/term. Student loans are not eligible;
  • to prevent eviction or foreclosure of your primary residence – this can only be done once in your lifetime;
  • purchase of your primary residence – this can only be done three times in your lifetime.
Once I send in my application, when will I receive my check?
After your application and supporting documents have been reviewed and approved, a check will be cut the following Thursday. This is subject to change due to Holidays, bank closure, etc.
How do I reallocate my Tax Deferral balance?
Please contact the Trust Fund office for a reallocation booklet and election form.

Use this form if you are applying for a total or partial distribution from the Plan due to termination, retirement or disability. The completed forms and accompanying documents can be mailed to us at the address on the application, faxed to (801) 975-1342 (Attn: Marcy) or saved and emailed to iiwmailroom@compusysut.com.

If you are applying for a hardship distribution, download and complete this application. You must also provide copies of supporting documents – See page 2 of the application for detailed documentation requirements. The completed forms and accompanying documents can be mailed to us at the address on the application, faxed to (801) 401-2716 (Attn: Marcy) or saved and emailed to iiwmailroom@compusysut.com.

Special $15,000 Distribution

Use this form if you are requesting a special $15,000 distribution from the Tax Deferral Plan. In order to qualify, you must have participated in the Plan for no less than 60 months since you last had a $0 balance in the Plan and you are not eligible for any other type of distribution. The completed forms and accompanying documents can be mailed to us at the address on the application, faxed to (801) 975-1342 (Attn: Marcy) or saved and emailed to iiwmailroom@compusysut.com.
